Funeral services for William J. Warlick, 85, of Chapin, will be held at 5:00
p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church. The family will
receive friends after the service in the church Fellowship Hall. The service
will be conducted by the Rev. Larry Hagerty. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home,
Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Bill was born
September 10, 1927 in Rock Hill, SC and passed away on Saturday, March 2,
2013. He was a son of the late Royce P. Warlick, Sr. and Nora Chapman
Warlick. Bill was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church. He was a 1947
graduate of Rock Hill High School, a 1956 graduate of the University of
South Carolina with a B.A. in Education, a 1974 graduate of the Citadel
mastered in Education Administration. Bill served his country from 1942 to
1945 in the US Navy Armed Guard. He retired in 1988 from the South Carolina
Commission on Aging, Director of Community Services. Mr. Warlick is survived
by his brother, Kenneth Warlick; grandchildren, Rorie Parker, Tony Eslick,
II, Whitney Manuel, Melissa Roberton and 9 great-grandchildren. He was
predeceased by his wife, Joan Quarles Warlick; son, Bill Warlick, Jr., 2
daughters, Beverly Eslick and Cathy Jo Warlick. www.caughmanharman
