Robert Howell Black, Jr., of Mt. Airy, NC, passed away Saturday, June 2,
2012 at NC Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. He was born in Baltimore, MD
on September 18, 1942 to the late Robert Howell Black, Sr. and Doris Lewis
Black. He was retired from The United States Air Force Reserve. He is
survived by his wife Mary Ruth Lewis. In addition to his parents, Mr. Black
was preceded in death by a brother William W. Black. Graveside services will
be held Tuesday June 5, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Oakdale Cemetery with services
conducted by Rev. Justin Nelson. The family will receive friends at Moody
Funeral Home in Mount Airy on Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. Online condloences may be
