Robert A. Anders, ’75
Robert A. Anders Greenville Robert A. Anders of Greenville, husband of
Shannon Dickerson Anders, died Friday, March 9, 2012. Born in Greenville, he
was a son of the late Robert Earl and Gloria Pearl Missel Anders. Robert was
a graduate of the Citadel and Vice President of SRA, Inc. He was also a
founding member of the Greenville Rugby Club. Surviving in addition to his
wife are his daughters and son in law, Jessica and Dan Dzara of Potomac
Falls VA.; Sallie Anders of Jacksonville, FL.; son, Robbie Anders of
Greenville; granddaughter, Claire Dzara; sister, Donna Long of Austin, TX.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother Earl and sisters, Michael
Burnett and Toni Tumlin. A memorial service will be held Monday at 2 o’clock
at The Mackey Mortuary. The family will receive friends following the
service at the Anders’ home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to
Clement’s Kindness, Fund for the Children, 27 Cleveland St., Suite 101,
Greenville, SC 29601 or Boys Home of the South, 10612 Augusta Rd., Belton,
SC 29627.

Robert and I were classmates at the Citadel….many fond memories….You are in our prayers

Bob and I were in different battalions but we knew each other through the Summerall Guards. I remember him as being quite a character. Lots of funny moments down in New Orleans. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. JC ’75
