William Alexander Leonard Jr, 77, passed away on February 11,2012. William
was known as Big Bill to his family and friends. He was born in
Charleston, South Carolina on February 9,1935. He moved to Jacksonville,
Florida where he graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1953. He was
awarded a Baseball scholarship to attend the Citadel. Big Bill graduated
from the Citadel in 1957. After graduating he served several years in the
Army as an Army Captain. After the Army he worked for multiple fortune 1000
companies thru out the United States. In 1995, he moved back to
Jacksonville, Florida enjoying his full retirement. Big Bill was preceded in
death by hisfather William A Leonard Sr. and his mother Estel L Leonard. He
is survived by, Martha A Leonard mother of his three children, William A
Leonard III, Linda J Leonard and Starr L Leonard also three grandchildren,
Jennie I Estes, Stephen R Estes III and Jordan A Leonard and two great
grandchildren Liam, Landon and his beloved puppies. A memorial service will
be held on February 20,2012 at Bull Memorial & Adele Grage at 11 a.m. In
