Jeremy Copeland Webb, 23, of Simpsonville, S.C., died in Blacksburg, Va.
on July 25, 2008. He was born April 2, 1985 in Spartanburg, a son of
Michael Squires and Sharon Copeland Webb. Jeremy graduated from Mauldin
High School in 2003 and graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Citadel in
2007. Currently, he was a graduate student at Bradley Department of
Electrical and Computer Engineering, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Va.
Survivors in addition to his parents include a brother, Joseph Michael
Webb of Simpsonville; maternal grandmother, Rebecca Eaton of Rembert,
S.C.; paternal grandmother, Lena Senn Webb of Spartanburg, S.C.; and
many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by
a sister Virginia Caroline Webb; grandfathers, Edward James Copeland and
Joe Emerson Webb.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Cannon
Funeral Home, Fountain Inn, S.C. with Rev. Dan Robinson and Rev. Willie
Choice officiating. Interment will follow in Cannon Memorial Park. The
family will receive friends following services. Memorials may be made
to Greenville Animal Shelter, 328 Furman Hall, Greenville, SC 29609 or
to Meadowsprings Community Church, 3156 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, SC
29681.

  • What a terrible tragedy to lose such a gifted young man so early in life. We will miss you, Jeremy and will think of you often. You certainly made an impression on everyone in the ECE department.
